General Electric Company and Baker Hughes Incorporated announced an agreement to merge GE Oil & Gas with Baker Hughes, worth $32 Billion. The transaction is expected to close in the middle of 2017.
 
AMETEK, Inc. announced that it completed the acquisition of Laserage Technology Corporation.
 
CenterPoint Energy Services, Inc. announced that it has agreed to acquire Atmos Energy's retail energy services business, Atmos Energy Marketing, LLC, for $40 Million. The acquisition is expected to be completed in early 2017.
 
Alcoa Corporation announced that it has completed its separation from parent company Arconic Inc. (formerly Alcoa Inc.)
 
NextEra Energy, Inc. announced that it has agreed to sell FPL FiberNet, LLC and its subsidiaries to Crown Castle International Corp. for $1.5 Billion. It is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017.
 
United States Steel Corporation announced that it has agreed to sell U.S. Steel Canada Inc. to Bedrock Industries Group LLC, subject to satisfactory completion of customary definitive documentation and requisite court and other approvals.

Duke Energy Corporation announced that it has agreed to sell Duke Energy Brazil to China Three Gorges Corporation for $1.2 Billion, and it has also agreed to sell Duke Energy Argentina to I Squared Capital for that same amount. Both are expected to be completed in the next two to four months, between December 2016 and February 2017.
 
General Electric Company announced it is buying LM Wind Power for $1.65 Billion. It is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017.
