Office of Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS)

With the departure of deputy chief of staff/legislative director Adam Telle, Senator Thad Cochran announced a shuffle of some of his key staffers. Cochran’s personal assistant Linda Good will now serve as his deputy chief of staff. Good, a veteran of Capitol Hill, was with the Committee on Oversight and Government reform for many years before moving to the Senator’s office. Mary Martha Henson and Ty Mabry were promoted to legislative director and deputy legislative director, respectively. Henson served as one of the Senator’s legislative assistants, and Mabry comes from Representative Gregg Harper’s (R-MS, 3rd) office where he was the deputy policy director. View profile ↓

Office of Senator Luther Strange (R-AL)

Newly elected Senator Luther Strange has filled several key staff positions for his office. Kevin Turner was named chief of staff after serving as chief counsel and chief deputy attorney general for Luther Strange when he was Alabama’s attorney general. Rounding out his press team are Communications Director Shana Teehan and Press Secretary Dylan Vorbach. Teehan began her career on the Hill with Representative Kevin Brady (R-TX, 8th), and most recently served as Representative Will Hurd’s (R-TX, 23rd) communications director. Vorbach was with the Committee on Energy and Commerce starting as a legislative clerk and most recently the assistant press secretary. Strange also named Jon Foltz as his legislative counsel. Newly elected Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) will be the Ranking Member for the Subcommittee on Fisheries, Water, and Wildlife. Fellow freshman Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) has been tapped as the Ranking Member for the Subcommittee on the Superfund, Waste Management, and Regulatory Oversight and Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) was selected to lead the Democrats on the Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
