General Herbert J. “Hawk” Carlisle, previously commander of Air Combat Command at the United States Department of the Air Force since 2014, has been named president and chief executive officer of the National Defense Industrial Association effective in mid-June 2017. He will replace current NDIA President and Chief Executive Officer Craig R. McKinley who plans to retire in June 2017. National Investors Hall of Famer Named Chancellor of the SUNY System

Dr. Kristina M. Johnson

Kristina M. Johnson, an advocate for women in leadership and a renowned inventor, has been named the 13th chancellor of the State University of New York System, effective September 5, 2017. Dr. Johnson, who holds 118 U.S. and international patents, was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2015 for the development of polarization-control technology. Currently, Dr. Johnson is the founder and chief executive officer of Cube Hydro Partners, LLC and she previously served as U.S. under secretary of energy under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2010. Dr. Johnson will replace the current Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher, who plans to step down from the position in June 2017. View profile ↓

 

Former Army Combat Veteran Named CEO of Foundation

Wes Moore, USA (Ret)

Wes Moore, an army combat veteran who served a tour in Afghanistan, was named chief executive officer at the Robin Hood Foundation, effective June 2017. Moore is also an advocate for disadvantaged youth and veterans in need, as well as the author of four books, including New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestsellers The Other Wes Moore and The Work. Moore is currently the founder and chief executive officer of BridgeEdu, an independent organization that provides a first-year college transition program for low-income students.
