The Winter 2009 edition of the Nonprofit Sector Yellow Book profiles over 1,400 of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations. Published semiannually, the Nonprofit Sector Yellow Book covers the boards of trustees, officers, and administrators of the nation’s leading foundations, universities, museums, performing arts groups and centers, medical institutions, library systems, preparatory schools, and
charitable service organizations. The Winter 2009 edition also features 300 foundations that support organizations listed throughout the various sections. The Winter 2009 edition of the directory provides detailed contact and biographical information for over 22,000 board members and over 27,000 executives at these leading nonprofit organizations.

The Nonprofit Sector Yellow Book is unique in that it is the only directory that lists, in a single volume, organizations from the eight significant areas of the nonprofit sector. In areas such as education and museums, the Nonprofit Sector Yellow Book includes both government-sponsored and private institutions. There is often a fine line between them. For instance, many nonprofit institutions rely on both
government support and private fundraising. But the private organizations tend to set the overall tone for the entire sector.

The Leadership Directories Pledge
Leadership Directories updates and publishes content depicting the nearly half million people who
lead over 40,000 major government, business, professional, and nonprofit institutions in the United
States. Every item of information in every listing has been verified at the source.
